L'Oreal Studio Weather or Not Indestructible Extreme Spiking Glue - Texture 5.0 oz Review

I shouldn't say what I said in the title, but, it's true.

I've used INDESTRUCTIBLE for the past 5 years (I've LOTS of hair, but, as someone else said, my hair (also!) is baby fine. In the colder months I used another great product (RUSK's RADICAL CREME - which - another long story - RUSK in their infinite 'wisdom,' has changed the name of, and halted production of on/off for YEARS, sigh)., and have found it to be the ONLY product that REALLY helps control my hair, without making it feel coated in plastic.

Both of these products do the same thing in slightly different ways, but as this is about INDESTRUCTIBLE, I'll stick to that. First, I hate alcohol-based products only because they flake and stuff. Indestructible (while it does have some) NEVER flakes. It also does what people like me with baby fine hair need - it helps (TREMENDOUSLY!) with high-humidity days. I put it on - generously, and, it dries. It NEVER feels TOUGH, sticky, or anything other than soft.

BUT; it holds my hair (not 'helmet-y'), and doesn't let the humidity affect it - at ALL.

Now - the sad (but true) news. I recently have been looking for a tube of INDESTRUCTIBLE - all over NYC (my home). Nothing. So, I shrugged, and look at another chain store. NOTHING.

I finally decided to check with L'Oreal them-self. The L'Oreal people couldn't have been nicer. They too said INDESTRUCTIBLE's a great product, but, due to not enough demand (!?!?), they've stopped production in December '09. The rep I spoke with said that there are other L'Oreal products, but NONE are as good, nor do what INDESTRUCTIBLE does with the same great qualities.

Oy.

I was just about to give up on EVER getting INDESTRUCTIBLE again, when as a light-bulb went off over my head, I said; 'hey - try AMAZON.' I did, and they have it.

For now.

I know I'm hurting my (potential) future 'stock' of this wonderful product, and, in a way - I'm kicking myself for sharing the 'bad.'

But, for those of you who DO love INDESTRUCTIBLE as much as I - maybe, you can (one day) help me, and tell me (when AMAZON no longer stocks it) - where I can get it;>
